We're recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a leading metal processing manufacturer based in North East Columbia, SC.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead the Manufacturing Engineering function, managing a team of engineers while driving process improvements, operational performance and continuous improvement across the facility.
What You'll Do
- Lead the Manufacturing Engineering department and develop engineering teams
- Improve manufacturing processes, productivity and operational performance
- Troubleshoot process, tooling, equipment and quality issues
- Lead APQP activities including FMEA, Control Plans and PPAP
- Analyse scrap, downtime and process failures to implement corrective actions
- Oversee Tool Room operations supporting production
- Develop manufacturing documentation and work instructions
- Support capital equipment projects and manufacturing improvements
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance and Quality teams
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
- 10+ years' manufacturing engineering experience
- Previous leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Strong background in metal fabrication, machining, welding or forming processes
- Experience with continuous improvement and root cause analysis
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Knowledge of AWS, ASME or ISO standards is an advantage
- CAD/CAM, CNC or robotics experience is beneficial
