Foundry Design Engineer
Location:
Hodges, SC
Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension
Position's Contributions to Work Group:Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards in place and best practices for No-bake molding process with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction
Typical Task Breakdown:RFQ tooling, Design New Pattern Tooling, resolve casting issues, Re-gate, Simulate, all other tasks as needed.

- Foundry Engineer
Experience:
(Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process) - Foundry tooling Design
Experience:
(Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process) - Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using Solid Cast
- Strong CAD skills (Creo prefers).
- Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding
- Casting simulation experiences (Solid Cast prefers)
- CNC milling knowledge
- Able to work with and direct suppliers on Tooling Build Projects
- Communicate and work well with all levels of the facility.
