Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic EHS professional to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a key technical leader, responsible for driving EHS excellence through strategic project management, emergency readiness, and the integration of advanced technologies. You will be a catalyst for continuous improvement, ensuring our EHS framework is robust, compliant, and forward‑thinking.
Roles and Responsibilities- Technical Expertise :
Act as the primary EHS technical resource for process engineering, automation, and robotics. Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct risk assessments, develop safety standards, and ensure the safe deployment of processes and technology. - Strategic Project Management:
Lead the implementation of site‑wide EHS strategic projects. Manage project life cycles from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and EHS milestones. - Emergency & Crisis Leadership:
Serve as the site’s primary Emergency Response Leader. Provide leadership to the Emergency Response Team (ERT), oversee crisis management planning activities, and manage site security protocols to ensure the safety of all personnel during incidents. Work in close coordination with the on‑site security team, acting as the primary point of contact and managing site security‑related projects. - EHS Framework Strategy & Implementation:
Take ownership of the EHS Management System conformance and regulatory compliance to develop a strategic continuous improvement plan. - EHS Read‑Across:
Lead the site‑wide implementation of high priority EHS projects from the GE Vernova EHS "Read‑Across" system to ensure all corrective and preventive actions are completed in a timely manner. Apply process engineering principles to evaluate these actions, ensuring that corrective and preventive measures are effectively integrated into manufacturing workflows. Collaborate with process and production engineers to validate that EHS enhancements optimize process safety without sacrificing operational efficiency, ensuring all actions are completed in a timely and sustainable manner. - Data‑Driven Improvement:
Analyze EHS data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Drive actionable solutions to elevate EHS performance based on identified metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in EHS project management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Desired Characteristics:
Strong leadership experience in emergency response coordination and crisis management. - Desired Characteristics:
Technical proficiency in conducting risk assessments for automated systems, robotics, or complex manufacturing machinery. - Desired Characteristics:
