** Summary**#
** Description
* *** Position Purpose
** Under the guidance of the AVP, Planning, Analysis & Special Projects, leads the strategic investment and M&A team. Performs market research, competitive analysis, valuation, and financial modeling services. Leads due diligence efforts and develops materials suitable for distribution to senior management. Tracks performance via updated financial models with an entity’s actual results, overseeing accounting and reporting for certain entities acquired, and supporting acquired businesses on a managerial consulting basis as needed.
Performs special projects for the company in support of both finance and accounting requirements.

This is a full-time position (40-hours/week) working Monday-Friday

** What You'll Do:
*** Coordinates M&A activity across all lines of business. Responsibilities include target and market research, due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, agreement negotiation, development of BCBSSC management review materials, and deal closing.
* With the AVP, manages strategic investment and M&A opportunity project flow.
* Assists with the integration of acquisitions into our corporate structure.
* Coordinates with BCBSSC management personnel across various lines of business to perform special projects as requested of the AVP.
* Responsible for Foundation and Alpine financial reporting and audited statements.
* Manages special projects team within Corporate Finance to support both finance and accounting functions.
* Prepares goodwill impairment analysis for acquired entities.
** To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need The Following:

Education:
Bachelors in a job-related field.
* Required
Work Experience:
10+ years of progressively responsible financial or other job-related experience in the health insurance/health benefit industry, or comparably complex environment including 3 years of supervisory/management experience OR 3 years of equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.
