The SC Office of Resilience is seeking seven (7) qualified candidates to assist in their Disaster Recovery Department.
Candidate must live within commuting distance to Pickens County.
The purpose of the position is to assist disaster survivors in navigating the complex and long disaster recovery process, and ensuring their unmet needs are met within the limitation of resources available. The position brings disaster survivors into the agency's disaster case management and housing programs. In this position you will be responsible for the programmatic intake of disaster survivors. Responsible for assessing the needs of disaster survivors and connecting them with essential resources to support their long-term recovery.
Coordinates a wide range of services including housing repairs, health care, and emotional support, to ensure that survivors receive the assistance they need. Works closely with relief organizations, government agencies, and local resource providers to develop personalized recovery plans tailored to meet each client's specific needs.
A high school diploma and relevant human services or social services experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- Knowledge of SCOR's organization, community resources and public assistance programs. Knowledge and skills in conducting individual needs assessment.
- Ability to conduct interviews and surveys. Ability to conduct investigations, draw conclusions and recommend action required.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with clients, their families and personnel from various agencies and external advocacy agencies. Ability to communicate effectively.
