T5 SEXUAL Assault Prevention Response VICTIM Advocate; SAPR VA Security Clearance

Position: T5 SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION RESPONSE VICTIM ADVOCATE (SAPR VA) with Security Clearance
Location: Columbia

Duties This position is located at the Brigade (BDE) and Wing level in an IRC funded position. Serves as the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Victim Advocate (VA) as the primary SAPR program victim assistance resource at the installation for all supported tenant commands in high concentration areas. The SAPR VA provides sexual assault victim advocacy and a non-clinical response that is trauma-informed, gender-responsive, culturally competent, and recovery-oriented.

This includes accepting Restricted and Unrestricted Reports of sexual assault, providing referrals, and informing victims of their options. Advocacy support includes risk screening, ongoing non-clinical safety assessment and planning, and needs assessments for adult victims of sexual assault. The SAPR VA reports to, is supervised, and evaluated by the Supervisory Principal Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC). Work involves supervising or performing work required to manage or direct one or more programs, including appropriate supporting social science service organizations.

1. GENERAL

EXPERIENCE:

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences.

EXPERIENCE:

1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES:
1. Employee must be a citizen of the United States by birth or naturalization.
2. Employee must have moral attributes and personal traits that demonstrate adherence to Army and Air Force Values, and the Army Civilian Corps Creed.
3. Employee must have no record of criminal punishment except for minor offenses or derogatory information contained in IG records as screened by the USAIGA and SAF-IG. 4. Employee will be required to attend and successfully complete the Headquarters, Department of the Army Inspector General Course and the Secretary of the Air Force Inspector General Inspector General Training Course for Investigations and successfully complete the Department of the Army Inspector General Refresher training as required by The Inspector General of the Army, and the Air Force Worldwide Training Conferences as required for refresher training.
