The Provider Partnership Liaison is responsible for enhancing and maintaining effective partnerships between the South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS) and contracted providers, including Child Placing Agencies, group care providers, and community-based partners. The goal is to strengthen service delivery, improve outcomes for children and families, and promote alignment and communication between the Department and provider partners. This role contributes to continuous quality improvement by addressing adaptive and technical challenges faced by providers.

The Liaison will meet regularly with community-based providers to foster communication, build relationships, and address operational, contracting, and service-related challenges. This includes interfacing with other state agencies to meet provider needs.

Responsibilities include collaborating with internal staff to troubleshoot issues, documenting concerns, and tracking follow-up actions. The role involves providing constructive feedback to providers to ensure compliance and promote best practices, as well as elevating systemic issues to leadership for resolution.

The position requires developing quarterly reports on systemic barriers and strengths, facilitating cross-program meetings, and assisting in the development of guidance, tools, and training materials to support providers. Conducting quarterly provider visits and other engagements as needed are also part of the role. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience in human services, social work, child welfare, provider relations, or a related field. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a motor vehicle, with the ability to perform field work.
