Laboratory Technician at Cmbio (12-month Maternity Cover)
Join Cmbio and Support Metabolomics Projects through Hands-on Laboratory operations

For our laboratory located in Vedbæk, Denmark, we are seeking a Laboratory Technician for a temporary position (12-month maternity cover). You will be part of a dedicated metabolomics team with highly skilled colleagues in Denmark and the US and will play a key role in the practical execution of client projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain laboratory documentation for client projects.
  • Perform sample handling, extraction, and further processing of biological and other complex matrices.
  • Operate analytical instruments, including GC‑MS and LC‑MS, to generate high-quality data.
  • Carry out data quality control checks according to established procedures.
  • Support the daily operation of the laboratory, including routine maintenance tasks and inventory of consumables.
Required Qualifications
  • Education as a laboratory technician, laboratory technologist, or similar technical laboratory background.
  • Practical experience with wet lab work, including pipetting, sample preparation, and handling of biological samples or complex matrices.
  • Familiarity with chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC‑MS and/or LC‑MS) in an analytical setting.
  • Good documentation skills and a structured, reliable working style.
  • Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working quality control or in a regulated laboratory environment (e.g., GLP, ISO 17025, or similar).
  • Experience with larger studies or batch-based work, including handling of many samples in parallel.
  • Previous work in metabolomics, microbiome, or other omics‑related laboratories.
