Make a meaningful impact on the future of mental health care in North Queensland. This is an opportunity for a suitably qualified Senior Occupational Therapist to lead clinical education and capability development across our Mental Health Service Group.
About the RoleThe Clinical Educator – Allied Health plays a key role in strengthening the capability, confidence and career pathways of the allied health workforce. You will contribute to high‑quality mental health care by:
- Delivering evidence‑based clinical education for allied health clinicians working in mental health.
- Providing discipline‑specific training and supporting the development of core and advanced competencies.
- Mentoring and supervising early‑career clinicians, including new graduates and pre‑entry students.
- Leading strategies that expand clinical placement capacity and support workforce growth.
- Designing, implementing and evaluating mental health education programs aligned with state and national priorities.
- Supporting a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across the service.
You bring strong clinical expertise in mental health, a passion for developing others, and the ability to translate evidence into practice. Experience in supervision, education, or workforce development will be highly regarded.
What’s On Offer- Base salary $128,169 - $137,918 p.a.

- A tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification in health professional education would be highly regarded.
