Our Environmental Services team plays a crucial role in maintaining high quality-of-life standards by ensuring our residents always have fresh, clean, and comfortable linens and clothing.
The RoleWe are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team on a part-time basis.
In this role, you’ll take pride in managing the day-to-day laundry operations for our campus. From washing and folding community linens to carefully laundering, delivering, and organizing residents' personal clothing, your work directly impacts the comfort, dignity, and daily well-being of our seniors.
Key ResponsibilitiesLaundering & Sanitization: Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron (if needed) facility linens, towels, bedding, and residents' personal clothing following proper sanitation and temperature guidelines.
Personal Care & Labeling: Ensure residents' personal laundry is carefully handled, properly labeled, accurately folded, and delivered back to their correct rooms in a timely manner.
Infection Control: Adhere strictly to safety standards and infection control policies when handling soiled linens, chemicals, and equipment.
Supply & Equipment Care: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry room; report equipment malfunctions or low supply levels to the supervisor promptly.
Resident Hospitality: Interact warmly with residents and staff, treating personal belongings with utmost care and respect.
Experience: Prior laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience in a senior living community, healthcare facility, or hotel is a plus, but we are happy to train dependable individuals with a great work ethic!
Detail-Oriented: Great organizational skills to ensure personal clothing items are properly returned to the right residents.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, push/pull laundry carts, and lift up to 30–50 lbs regularly during your shift.
Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and a compassionate, respectful attitude toward seniors.
