The Courtyard by Marriott Columbia/Cayce is seeking a hands‑on, service‑driven Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys leading teams, driving guest satisfaction, and supporting overall hotel performance.

Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager will primarily oversee Front Office and Bistro restaurant operations while supporting the General Manager in the day‑to‑day leadership and smooth operation of the hotel. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring brand standards are met, and helping the hotel achieve financial and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily Front Desk and Bistro operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and brand compliance
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Assist with scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and service recovery efforts
  • Support revenue goals, cost controls, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and company policies
  • Step in as Manager on Duty as needed and assist the General Manager with overall hotel operations
Qualifications
  • Previous hotel leadership experience required (Front Office or Operations preferred)
  • Marriott experience is a strong plus
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences
