Night Audit Clerk

Night Audit Clerk responsibilities and qualifications for the Cambria Hotel Columbia Downtown.

Responsibilities
  • Assist and oversee all Front Desk and audit functions.
  • Balance Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Balance and post front office accounts.
  • Distribute daily reports and other documents as requested.
  • Follow all checklists to ensure duties performed each night; sign and date checklists.
  • Work with staff to resolve guest requests.
  • Handle guest check‑in/check‑out, inquiries and reported problems.
  • Communicate with bell persons, drivers, housekeeping.
  • Maintain house/cash bank, deposit keys; verify guest information.
  • Assign rooms based on reservation requirements; maintain Front Desk log book.
  • Check for guest mail/messages, inquire about their stay, thank them, offer future reservations.
  • Issue department keys, maintain log, ensure timely delivery of wake‑up calls and express checkout bills.
  • Know hotel emergency procedures; adhere to policies and changes.
  • Handle major guest complaints and disturbances.
  • Train, guide, and advise night employees; cover for sick or off employees.
  • Request and inventory supplies for audit staff; report discrepancies to management.
  • Maintain computerized hotel systems; comply with company rules and regulations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work overnight hours and various shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong desire to impact people.
  • Outgoing and engaging personality.
  • Computer skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced setting; stand for duration of shift.
  • Experience with front desk/audit functions preferred but not required.
