The Director of Human Resources will serve as a key member of the team, partnering with executive leadership to align people strategies with operational and business objectives. This individual will oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, organizational development, performance management, and HR operations. The role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on culture, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support business, operational, and financial goals.
  • Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Lead recruiting efforts for hourly, skilled trades, technical, professional, and leadership positions.
  • Build talent pipelines through partnerships with technical schools, workforce development organizations, and community resources.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and culture-building programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, market analysis, and annual compensation planning.
  • Lead performance management, leadership development, and employee training initiatives.
  • Manage HR operations, HRIS administration, policy development, reporting, and process improvement efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience with in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similar operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and employee relations.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders across all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex employee relations matters.
  • Experience supporting multi-shift, high-volume, or 24/7 operations preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, MBA, or other advanced credentials preferred.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement initiatives, and union or non-union environments is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, change management, and data-driven decision-making skills.
