Role Overview

This role is for an Identity AI / ML Engineer in Columbia, SC, offering a long-term contract with an unknown pay rate. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have experience in AI technologies, machine learning, data governance, and the government sector.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience with AI technologies, machine learning, and data governance.
• Strategic planning, change management, and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Public sector or government experience.
• Strong understanding of project planning and creation principles.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with users, technical staff, management, vendors, and others.
• Ability to provide guidance and recommendations to senior-level personnel.

• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in AI strategy, data analytics, or IT.
• 2+ years with AI technologies, machine learning, and data governance.
• 5+ years in strategic planning, change management, stakeholder engagement.
• 5+ years in government or public sector.

• Limited supervision by Agency Head.
• Independent discretion and judgment.
• May require in-state and out-of-state travel.
• May require nights, weekends, after-hours assignments, and emergency response participation.
• Primarily office environment; hybrid teleworking with 2–3 days in office.
