- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing
- Experience with technical SOP documentation and graphic creation in Visio
- Support regulatory compliance projects
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Ability to create effective and clear process flows and similar diagrams in PowerPoint or Visio
- Excellent problem‑solving ability
- Team player
- Strong communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to work at high volume and fast pace
- Strong collaborator and meeting deadlines
- Ability to identify, map, and support business processes
- Simultaneously manage multiple reporting requirements

Client seeks consultant‑level Business Analyst/technical writer to support planning & execution of a fast‑paced information security assessment program across the state, focusing on identifying risk and measuring compliance of information security programs and systems across the state, and providing reporting and monitoring information to both dis and agency leadership.
Responsibilities- Assessment of state‑wide, shared or common services and security controls provided to agencies
- Assessment of agency‑owned services and security controls at each state agency
- Tracking progress and resolving issues with each assessment
- Documenting and presenting results from each assessment to agency and division leadership
- Tracking, documenting, and reporting assessment results at the agency, sector, state, or other criterion level for the program
- Gathering requirements and recommendations for program improvement
- Developing policy, plan, process and procedure documentation for the statewide information security program
- Status reporting of operational support tasks and related work efforts
- Identifying metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) of processes and their output
- Create, manage and maintain policy, plan, process, procedure and other program documents such as process flows, standard operating procedures, desk manuals and procedural guidelines
- Review, edit, and maintain documentation consistency and accuracy for documentation submitted by staff and vendors
- Monitor and support deadlines, milestones and activities
- Apply change, risk and resource management
- Document all meetings attended, directives, and significant phone conversations
- Develop and deliver professional technical program updates to leadership and supporting staff
- Communicate with IT leadership, business leadership and IT business consultants to convey program strategy, direction and changes
- Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to project managers
- Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Microsoft Office tools
