Database Administrator

We are supporting a confidential statewide government initiative seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to support mission‑critical judicial and case‑management systems. If you excel in SQL Server optimization, data governance, and enterprise‑scale performance tuning, this is a major opportunity to make an impact at the state level.

As a Senior DBA, you will work within a large, multi‑environment SQL Server landscape supporting:

• Enterprise Data Warehouse
• Public Index & Reporting Systems
• Power BI and interactive data dashboards
• Multi‑county reporting and data standardization initiatives

You will collaborate with application development, data analytics, and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability, security, and alignment with statewide data governance standards.

• Administer, optimize, and secure SQL Server 2016+ environments
• Manage authentication models, contained users & DB‑level security
• Oversee SQL Agent jobs, maintenance plans & indexing strategies
• Implement, test & optimize backup/restore + disaster recovery plans
• Support and optimize Always On high availability configurations
• Reduce blocking, deadlocks & long‑running transactions
• Enforce referential integrity, identity reseeding & data cleanup
• Support Power BI backend query optimization
• Harden SQL Server environments & maintain compliance with security standards
• Assist with schema deployments, version control & automation scripting
