Job Title:
Business Analyst Advanced (10513)

Location:
Columbia, SC (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

Duration: 12 Months (High possibility of extension)
Interview Process: 1 Round Virtual (MS Teams)

Work Environment:
  • Hybrid work model (3 days onsite in Columbia, SC)
  • Business casual work environment
  • Candidates must be South Carolina residents or willing to relocate prior to start (at own expense)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver effective solutions
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, rules, and processes
  • Perform as-is and to-be process analysis and recommend improvements
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for development teams
  • Support requirements lifecycle including elicitation, validation, traceability, and change management
  • Conduct business process modeling and workflow documentation
  • Analyze data requirements and relationships
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, vendors, and government agencies
  • Identify risks, issues, and provide mitigation strategies
  • Support testing teams with requirement clarification and validation
  • Maintain business rules, requirements, and documentation repositories
  • Provide recommendations for build vs. buy decisions
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical, Business, or Healthcare field
  • 5+ years of experience in government IT projects as a Business Analyst
  • 5+ years of experience in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business rules and processes
  • 3+ years of experience in Medicaid or healthcare domain
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication
  • Experience with business process modeling and workflow tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Medicaid or Healthcare Insurance (projects or operations)
  • Experience with Microsoft Project / Project Server
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
Additional Skills:
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience reviewing policies, regulations, and compliance documentation
  • Ability to write Use Cases and Functional Specifications
