About the Role:

Join the State of South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) as a Business Analyst - Intermediate. In this vital role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, driving impactful IT projects that enhance services for millions of South Carolinians. This is an onsite-only position in Blythewood, SC, open exclusively to current SC or NC residents.

Responsibilities:

- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
- Translate business needs into actionable IT solutions and project specifications
- Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and workflow optimization
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure accurate system implementation
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and troubleshoot issues
- Create clear documentation, reports, and training materials
- Support project managers in scope, schedule, and resource planning

Required

Skills and Experience:

- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in IT environments
- Strong background in requirement gathering, process analysis, and documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business process modeling
- Proven organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Skills:

- Prior experience with state government or DMV operations
- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies
- Experience supporting large-scale software implementations
