Are you a seasoned IT leader with experience ensuring the seamless operation of an IT department?
The Director of Operation manages strategic IT operations initiatives, executive-level projects, and partnerships for enterprise-wide IT solutions. They lead hardware implementation, define and use IT systems for business units, enhance application effectiveness, and align resources to meet agency goals. They plan, coordinate, and direct activities related to IT system development, implementation, and management to enhance business operations.
An ideal candidate will possess knowledge of project planning and task assignment in an IT environment, the ability to supervise IT initiatives, manage technical personnel, provide leadership, establish relationships with users, staff, management, vendors, and understand the agency's needs and priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure IT operations strategic plan goals are met.
- Plan and manage IT operations projects using effective project management techniques.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure understanding of their performance and capability.
- Document repetitive tasks and processes under the IT operations function.
- Establish a project management approach to communicate projects and initiatives.
- Conduct regular assessments and share results with the IT leadership team.
- Integrate data privacy and system security compliance into the IT operations function.

Education and ExperienceA bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Additional RequirementsMay require after hours support including being on-call and call backs. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 2 years of managing staff within Information Technology roles.
