IT Project Manager, IT Consultant, Systems Analyst
Location: Columbia
Duties Serve as the primary point of contact for IT vendor contracts. Serve as a Contracts and IT projects advisor. Advocate for customers/clients within the IT contract management process. Provide contract-related advice to IT project teams and ensure that project plans allow sufficient time for purchasing and contract negotiation and execution. Provide leadership in the Contracts area by ensuring work is completed in a timely manner.
Act as an escalation point for clients in the contracts process.
- 30% Evaluates Contract team workload. Assigns, coordinates, and reviews work completed by the Contract Administrators. Oversees the status of contracts that are in progress for customers/clients and ensures contract negotiations are actively progressing, removing obstacles that may impede progress and ensures deadlines are met. Escalates to appropriate level of management for contracts that are not advancing through the process.
- 30% Serves as an IT contracts subject matter expert on IT projects and IT product and service evaluations. 25% Leads efforts within the department to improve processes and oversees the training schedule for new hires. Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison between project management, Law department, and Contract and Procurement teams. Facilitates proactive communication to customers/clients, project teams, and other stakeholders.
15% Develops and monitors operational reports to ensure service operational level agreements are met, work is being completed efficiently, and customers'/clients' needs are being met in a timely and quality manner.
Work Environment:
Typical office environment. Some travel between office buildings.
Knowledge of contracting processes and associated policies and regulations. Ability to lead a team. Participation on multidiscipline, high-performance work teams. Ability to prepare and present formal presentations. Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels throughout the organization and externally. Excellent analytical or critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to make sound decisions, and exercise confidentiality and discretion. Proven ability to persuade, negotiate or influence.
