Position Title
Coordinator of Technology - Cybersecurity
LocationOffice of Operations
Salary / Pay Scale / DaysAdministrative Pay Scale / Grade 34 / 240 Days / 8 Hours
Responsibilities- Ensuring effective integration of information technology systems and services with the information technology program and information security policy.
- Protecting the District from cybersecurity threats by researching trends, reviewing suspicious activities, reporting security breaches, and educating employees.
- Developing and implementing an overall information security vision, strategy, and program to protect the District’s assets.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in technology information security, policy development, and compliance.
- Five years of experience in security best practices and application within enterprise infrastructure, networking, operating systems, and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- At least one of the following certifications is required:
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC General Security Essentials (GSEC), CompTIA Security+, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Additional certifications are preferred. - Valid state driver’s license may be required.
