Interview Process:
One round of virtual interviews with the camera on, followed by a second round in person.
The network administrators, under the guidance of the assigned Network Operations Center Manager, will coordinate daily/weekly assignments for deployment, support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of the Agency's critical enterprise architecture. They will work with Network, Security, and other IT professional groups and non-IT staff to assist with problem resolution, mitigation of issues, and provide technical solutions. They will ensure assignments are completed accurately and on-time, and provide progress, task, and deliverable updates to the assigned project manager.
- Support enterprise network and identity initiatives including SD-WAN deployment, PKI lifecycle management, and secure authentication services.
- Monitor, identify, and remediate issues with Agency enterprise network and identity services.
- Support network connectivity and authentication services on Windows-based systems.
- Support connectivity and secure access on mobile devices (e.g., Apple devices).
- Manage the network and identity infrastructure lifecycle at all stages.
- Create and maintain network documentation (e.g., diagrams, coverage, and design documentation).
- Assist with deployment, configuration, and support of SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication solutions.
- Perform enterprise network deployments, installations, and upgrades; this includes maintaining comfort working on a ladder and ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Perform firmware/software/security/feature upgrades across network and identity platforms.
- Monitor Agency trouble ticket system and complete assigned network, authentication, and connectivity tickets.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Serve as the Agency's primary support resource for network and access-related technical issues and troubleshoot most common/routine problems.
- Assist Agency staff/contractors in resolving network, authentication, and connectivity-related problems.
- Coordinate and assist with testing and validation of network and identity solutions.
- Adhere to State and Agency security and IT policies and standards.
- Work closely with key stakeholder groups, including Network, Security, and Server Hosting, to ensure appropriate engagement.
- Assist various IT groups with other tasks such as system/network installations and upgrades (e.g., racking equipment).
- Create, maintain, and review/improve upon network and identity documentation.
- Plan, organize, review, and implement associated project milestones to completion.
- Provide updates to Project Team.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Associate's Degree in a relevant field or high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
Required CertificationsNone. Preference may be given to certified applicants based on overall experience.
