Position Title
Job Title: IT Security Analyst – Information Security Specialist
Job SummaryResponsible for the security, installation, and maintenance of Student Affairs computer information systems. Provides network support and security services, participates in the deployment of new and existing software applications, and manages Active Directory security groups while ensuring HIPAA/FERPA compliance.
Work Schedule- Full time, 37.5 hours per week
- 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday (with flexibility as needed)
- Maintain Active Directory objects, policies, and authentication technologies (ADFS, SAML, SSO, OAuth, etc.).
- Review identity, access, and audit logs in Microsoft Active Directory to support investigations, access reviews, and policy validation.
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot Group Policies.
- Investigate and validate implementation of security policies such as Conditional Access, Insider‑Risk Management, Data Loss Prevention, and endpoint compliance.
- Support user security requests, phishing reports, and training participation.
- Collaborate with DoIT Division of Information Technology teams to align with security architecture and shared service boundaries.
- Monitor division software and application processes to ensure compliance with the TRB Technology Review Board.
- Assist with audits of divisional software and hardware and the analysis of audit results.
- Assist with HIPAA/FERPA compliance and other federal and state regulations concerning sensitive information.
- Provide support for special projects and additional duties as assigned by the HIPAA Compliance and Security Officer.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification).
- Minimum one year of related experience, or substitute certifications, training, education, and experience.
- Highly proficient in computer hardware and software troubleshooting; one or more related certifications preferred.
- Strong judgment, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
