Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Columbia, SC. This role supports a high-volume, 24/7 service desk environment providing Tier 1 technical support, password resets, incident management, and request fulfillment for a large statewide user base. This is a strong opportunity for a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys solving technical issues, communicating clearly, and working in a structured support environment.
Pay& Schedule
- Pay rate: $18 to $20 per hour.

Temp-to-hire. - Location:
Columbia, SC, Broad River Road area. | ON SITE. - Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.| 1hr lunch break - Post-training schedule:
Rotating schedule that may include Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - Holiday rotation required for 13 holidays per year, totaling 26 shifts.
- - Provide Tier 1 technical support for customers through phone, email, chat, electronic communication, and in-person channels.
- - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, password, and network connectivity issues.
- - Manage incidents and service requests by diagnosing problems, resolving issues when possible, and escalating appropriately when needed.
- - Document all support interactions accurately using service desk tools and established procedures.
- - Maintain current knowledge of enterprise technology services, internal processes, and available knowledge base resources.
- - Update and maintain procedural documentation for internal and external users.
