Position Summary

The Attorney will provide direct legal representation and guidance to clients navigating civil legal matters. This position works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure coordinated, ethical, and professional legal services that promote client safety and independence.

Responsibilities
  • Assess client referrals to determine appropriate civil legal support and representation
  • Advise clients on legal rights, procedural options, and available civil remedies
  • Represent clients in civil court proceedings, including family court matters as applicable
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community-based partners
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client case files and legal documentation
  • Track direct client service and related activities in the case management system
  • Participate in required training and continuing legal education
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support program objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program objectives and client outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in a state (SC) bar in good standing
  • Experience preferred or demonstrated interest in civil legal practice and court representation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain legal concepts clearly and compassionately
  • Ability to work with discretion and professionalism in sensitive situations
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
