Real Estate Paralegal – DuRant Law Office, Inc.

DuRant Law Office, Inc. is a well-established, family-owned firm that has served the Grand Strand community since 1984. We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Real Estate Paralegal to join our team in Surfside Beach, SC or our new Pawleys Island location.

As a key member of our real estate team, you will work closely with attorneys like Woody DuRant to ensure seamless residential and commercial property transactions for our neighbors and local businesses.

• Closing Management:
  Manage real estate files from contract to post-closing, including preparing closing disclosures and settlement statements.
• Document Drafting:
  Assist in preparing deeds, mortgages, title commitments, and other essential legal documents.
• Title Coordination:
  Assist in reviewing title abstracts and issue preliminary title opinions and insurance policies.
• Client Liaison:
  Act as the primary point of contact for clients, lenders, and HOAs to provide updates and gather necessary information.
• Administrative Support:
  Maintain organized electronic and physical files and ensure all deadlines are met with high attention to detail.

• Experience:
  
  Previous experience as a real estate paralegal or in a similar legal environment is strongly preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Proficiency in real estate closing software and Microsoft Office; strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication:
  Exceptional customer service skills and a professional, "neighbor-first" attitude.
• Knowledge:
  Familiarity with South Carolina real estate laws and closing procedures.
