Law firm in Columbia, SC
, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team for a full-time, onsite opportunity.
- Conduct conflict checks and open new matters.
- Manage legal documents using document management software and create closing binders.
- Draft engagement letters and estate planning documents.
- File documents with the South Carolina Secretary of State and other agencies.
- Publish legal notices.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous legal assistant experience, ideally in transactional law or a professional services environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Experience with Docu Sign and dictation is a plus.
