This is an on-site full-time Associate position based in Columbia, SC. The Associate will provide legal counsel and representation to the firm's diverse client base, including handling legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings. Key responsibilities also include collaborating with fellow attorneys, offering preventative legal advice to mitigate risks, and maintaining communication with clients to best serve their interests and objectives.
Additional tasks may involve assisting in the development of legal strategies to support government, educational, and business-related operations.
- Proficiency in Legal Research, Legal Writing, and preparing legal documentation
- Experience in litigation, courtroom representation, and administrative hearings
- Strong Analytical and Communication Skills, with an emphasis on advocacy and client interaction
- Comprehensive knowledge of government, education law, employment law, or corporate law is highly desirable
- Licensed to practice law in the state of South Carolina or qualified to obtain licensure
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues independently
- Commitment to providing cost-efficient and client-focused legal services
