Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist

Our client, a leading industrial supply and inventory management solutions provider, is seeking a Vendor Management Inventory Specialist (VMIS) to join their team. As a Vendor Management Inventory Specialist, you will be part of the Field Operations team supporting multiple customer locations across the Columbia, SC area. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent customer service orientation, and solid problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

• Manage and replenish inventory at customer sites, ensuring proper stock levels (min/max)
• Receive, unpack, and stock products at designated points of use
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of vending/VMI equipment
• Build strong customer relationships and provide excellent on-site service support
• Track daily activities using routing software and maintain 6S/Lean standards

• Strong customer service skills with effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently across multiple locations
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft 365 and mobile applications)
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel 80%+ (must use own vehicle initially)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, walking)
