Job Summary

This position supports the NGC demand‑supply‑optimization process, managing high‑level weekly demand and supply balancing for plants within designated geographic service regions. The Supply Chain Process Manager leads weekly RSIOP teams consisting of assigned plant managers, production schedulers, regional market managers, CSC representatives, Sales and Demand Management with a focus on maximizing product availability and service, while balancing with NGC productivity and working‑capital objectives.

The role requires leading this cross‑functional team while balancing NGC’s Supply Planning processes through SAP.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work directly with local Plant Production Schedulers on weekly review of mix and demand to keep up with actual demand changes (vs. forecast demand) and handling of supply disruptions to ensure good mix of stock‑A and key specialty products.
  • Perform supply planning processes for the assigned portfolio to ensure full utilization of NGC’s manufacturing assets while meeting the requirements of the Demand Plan. Master SAP transaction codes and utilize them within the supply planning cycle processes. This portfolio supports approximately $400 million in sales revenue.
  • Participate in weekly RSIOP meetings with plants, Demand Manager, Customer Service and Logistics. Understand and question consensus demand plan, address supply issues and propose solutions for assigned plants and external warehouses within geographic service regions.
  • Function as the regional support expert regarding inventory management for assigned plants k with local plant experts (Plant Managers, Production Managers, Production Schedulers, Warehouse Managers) to set and maintain plant warehouse capacities, desired average warehouse inventory levels (given business volume), and preferred mix levels. Actively manage external warehouses from ongoing replenishment, inventory targets and ensuring Stock Transfer Order continuity on a weekly basis.

    Resolve all supply chain voids.
  • Work with assigned plants in optimizing warehouse layout and performance to accommodate critical SKU base. Assist plants within geographic service region on periodic reviews of warehouse, SKU breadth – and improvement recommendations.
  • Validate plant capacities and product families, run frequency, warehouse space constraints, resource reference cycle understanding, standards and construction.
  • On a monthly basis, convert unconstrained demand plan to SNP‑constrained demand plan and work with plants to adopt suggested block capacities based on the demand plan. Ensure that plant managers and team are executing the Supply Network Plan throughout the week. Proactively manage the reference cycle with the Plant manager and team.
  • Perform quantitative supply planning analytics to support block schedule adherence, inventory management and supply planning execution.
  • Properly use alert monitor and communicate with sales and customer service on alerts (production shortfalls, production timing issues) that cannot be satisfied.
  • Create and deliver business presentations to audiences within demand management, plant management and customer service upon request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Preferred Education:
    • A B.S. from an accredited school of business in one of the following degrees:
      Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business, Global Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics or Accounting.
    • A liberal arts or life sciences degree with an MBA from an accredited school of business.
    • An associate’s degree from an accredited school of business in one of the disciplines mentioned above under the B.S. requirement plus a completed APICs CPIM certification.
  • Strong expertise and understanding of SAP SCM/APO or Oracle Demantra, production and supply planning processes, as well as the underlying master data architecture.
  • Production scheduling experience preferred.
  • Warehouse management experience preferred.
  • Production experience or working knowledge of production constraints a plus.
