Job DescriptionRole Summary
The Procurement Analyst supports Category Managers and Category Leaders by providing analytical insights that drive sourcing, supplier performance, and procurement decisions. This role is responsible for extracting and analyzing data from ERP systems, evaluating supplier and cost trends, developing recommendations, and supporting strategic sourcing and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) initiatives. Working closely with procurement, engineering, operations, planning, and quality teams, the position combines procurement knowledge with strong analytical capabilities to improve supplier performance and business outcomes.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within a direct manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience independently extracting, managing, analyzing, and interpreting procurement, supplier, and cost data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and develop actionable business insights.
- Experience utilizing ERP systems (IFS preferred) to extract data and support procurement decision-making.
- Experience supporting strategic sourcing, supplier performance, pricing analysis, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data-driven recommendations to Category Managers, Category Leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with IFS ERP.
- Experience developing supplier performance reporting, dashboards, and procurement metrics.
- Experience supporting Category Management through spend analysis, supplier performance analysis, and sourcing recommendations.
- Direct manufacturing procurement experience.
- Experience with e-Sourcing tools, including reverse auctions.
- Continuous improvement and project management experience.
