Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to support commercial change order activities and procurement operations in Pelzer, South Carolina. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable coordinating with suppliers and internal business partners. The role focuses on maintaining accurate procurement records, driving timely quotation activity, and helping the team keep critical tasks, reporting, and stakeholder communication on track.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and organize procurement and change order data to produce clear reports, summaries, and actionable insights for the business.
  • Evaluate items within the change order workflow, determine the appropriate supplier and category ownership, and assign the correct classification details.
  • Issue requests for quotation to designated suppliers within required timelines and monitor progress through completion.
  • Follow established procurement procedures to maintain reliable, consistent, and accurate information across all assigned activities.
  • Coordinate requests for technical drawing specifications and ensure needed documentation is obtained to support sourcing actions.
  • Maintain team tracking files by adding new work items, monitoring due dates, and escalating aging tasks to support timely closure.
  • Manage day-to-day assigned transactions and workload priorities to ensure deliverables are completed within expected deadlines.
  • Update team dashboards and status reports with accurate information while following up with internal and external stakeholders to remove delays and resolve open issues.
  • Contribute to supplier and stakeholder support activities, including responding to inquiries, joining regular follow-up discussions, and assisting with process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide coverage for related functions when needed to help maintain operational continuity.
