Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Inventory Control Manager 2 to our team. Reporting to the appropriate Supply Chain or Materials leadership team, the Inventory Control Manager 2 will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, accountability, and control across the site. This role partners closely with customers, planning, purchasing, warehouse operations, and business unit leaders to optimize inventory performance, reduce excess and obsolete material, and drive continuous improvement of inventory management processes.
The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical, leadership, and operational expertise to ensure inventory integrity while supporting business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Lead inventory control activities to ensure accurate inventory records, cycle count compliance, and successful physical inventory execution. Collaborate with customers, purchasing, planning, project management, warehouse operations, and business units to manage inventory performance and meet customer expectations. Analyze inventory and materials data from MRP systems to identify trends, discrepancies, risks, and improvement opportunities. Manage excess and obsolete inventory disposition activities, including customer negotiations, inventory reduction initiatives, and material sales coordination.
Develop, implement, and enhance inventory control processes, policies, procedures, and performance metrics to improve operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Strong inventory control, materials management, supply chain, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading inventory accuracy initiatives, cycle count programs, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Advanced knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and inventory management best practices.
- Ability to analyze data, develop meaningful metrics, and drive process improvements across inventory operations.
- Strong communication, customer relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to interpret business requirements, customer agreements, operational procedures, and inventory data to support decision‑making.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, and managing teams.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of materials, inventory control, supply chain, or related experience.
