Overview

Commercial Door Technician Job description Opsource has partnered with an overhead commercial door company located in Duncan, SC.

Pay rate: Pay range of $18-$21 an hour, depending on experience.

Shift: 1st shift positions. Monday — Friday 8am — 5pm (some overtime may be required).

• Installing and commissioning automatic doors.
• Surveying sites for redevelopment.
• Service, repair, and routine maintenance of automatic doors for new and existing customers.
• Ensuring the schedule is achieved as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to meet targets and deadlines.
• Provide technical support to the customer, planner, director, and the overall business.
• To ensure all internal maintenance is performed daily and reporting all maintenance issues to Manager.
• To ensure housekeeping is adhered to and maintained.
• May include some nights away from home.
• Repair a wide range of commercial doors and door hardware including roll up doors, dock doors, dock equipment, high speed rolling doors and commercial entry doors.
• Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services.
• Track and maintain job related paperwork and submitting in a timely manner.
• Operate in a safety conscious manner at all times while performing job duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Possess a degree of product knowledge in a variety of automatic door systems.
• High School Diploma/GED (Preferred).
• Prior experience in a similar role or one that required a mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights and use a ladder.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Customer service oriented.
• Able to work occasional Saturdays.
