Floor Technician

. This position focuses on maintenance and restoration of building floors, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Location:

MUSC Black River — 3555 Williamsburg County Highway, Cades, South Carolina 29518.

Schedule:

Full‑time, days may vary (3:00 pm‑11:30 pm), rotating weekends. Fixed Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour. No prior experience is required.

• Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and use proper procedures (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, buffing).
• Operate various types of industrial floor‑care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care, including shampooing, damp‑surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor‑care equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
