Position

Environmental Services Manager in Training (MIT)

Role

Description:

As an MIT, you will gain preparation for a potential future role within our support services team leadership. You will learn best practices of the Compass Group sector and facilitate these practices in areas such as operations management, safety, quality control, housekeeping, hiring, training, payroll, and profit and loss. You will be assigned to a training location for on-site, hands-on learning while participating in Compass Group’s Accelerated Manager Program (AMP).

Successful AMP completion may lead to relocation within your region for placement opportunities. Placement or promotion into a full-time management position is based on performance and business needs and is not guaranteed. AM P focuses on management development and can be completed in 12 weeks or more depending on learning needs and pace.

  • AMP focuses on competency-based assessment, personalized learning paths, experiential learning, and mentorship
  • AMP includes 360° evaluation of progress and development
Responsibilities & Opportunities

As an MIT, you may take on managerial assignments in operational areas such as Environmental Services Management and related support services.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree received by June 2026 or prior (required)
  • One year of customer service or related work or internship experience (preferred)
  • Willingness to relocate for the right role or advancement opportunity
  • Demonstrated financial acumen including P&L management, inventory, and cash handling skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with peers, employees, clients, and customers
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations
  • Basic knowledge of operating and maintenance instructions, safety regulations, codes, and use of policy manuals
  • Mechanical inclination
  • Competency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Driver’s License required for transportation roles
