Allegiance Industries is a facilities services and full-service electrical contractor serving the commercial, industrial, and retail markets in the southeast United States. We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our Electrical Division. As an Accounting Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements and job costing of our electrical projects. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a clear understanding of accounting functions.
Responsibilities- Oversee the project administration team to ensure accurate and timely data entry and project reconciliation.
- Oversee all accounting aspects of the electrical division to include AP, AR, payroll, month end journal entries, assistance with year end financial statements and notes.
- Oversee job cost accounting to ensure accurate tracking of labor, materials, overhead, and subcontractors.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Manage Work-In-Progress (WIP) schedules using percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Oversee construction billing, including AIA progress billings, lien releases, and debt collections.
- Collaborate with project managers and executive leadership to provide financial insights, margin tracking, and cost forecasts that drive growth.
- Work closely with the CFO to provide necessary schedules and information to external auditors and tax preparers.
- Administration and ongoing maintenance of the no code software platform used as the project management software.
- Exceptional accuracy in data entry and meticulous attention to detail.
- Possesses a polished and professional demeanor, ensuring effective communication and positive interactions in all business settings.
- Previous experience in an accounting management role, preferably in Industrial, Manufacturing or Construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suites, and accounting and project management software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Associates Degree or higher.
