Traveling Superintendent

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. Anyone selected for this position will be required to travel throughout the duration of each project they are assigned. We are licensed in NC, SC, TN and VA, therefore, a job assignment for this position could be located within either of these states. These job assignments do come with a stipend, food allowance, etc.

All of these specifics will be discussed per each job, based on their distance, overnight stay requirements, etc. There will also be a potential project bonus once the job is completed.

• Enforce corporate safety policies on the jobsite, providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field.
• Implement proactive pre-task safety planning for all work activities.
• Supervise, coordinate and sequence contractors’ work.
• Monitor performance and coordinate work to maintain productivity of trades, ensuring adequate manpower for work in place.
• Develop and maintain complete and detailed project schedule and manage work in accordance with the schedule.
• Coordinate and track material deliveries.
• Develop site logistics plans for entire project to maximize productivity.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by enforcing contract requirements and limiting field changes.
• Assist with development of work scopes and front end documents.
• Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, Tenants, and Owners.
• Effective timely resolution of conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claims

• Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry on commercial projects greater than $1 Million
• Minimum 5 years of direct supervision of projects including trades
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills to resolve field issues with subcontractor, design team and/or owner
• OSHA 10 hour required
• Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
