Your role

Symrise Pet Food is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead our North America region. As a key member of our global leadership team, you will drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, and customer‑centric innovation across 15 sites and a team of nearly 500 employees. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast‑evolving industry‑delivering on ambitious financial targets, optimizing our regional footprint, and championing a high‑performance, inclusive culture.

  • Define and execute a regionally adapted, globally aligned strategy for the North America Pet Food business
  • Lead all business activities across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Customer Experience
  • Deliver on full P&L responsibility, driving revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow
  • Maximize performance of industrial assets and ensure infrastructure is future‑ready
  • Foster strong, trust‑based relationships with strategic partners and customers
  • Inspire, coach, and develop a diverse regional leadership team
  • Champion innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement in all aspects of the business
  • Ensure compliance with Symrise's governance, ESG standards, and local regulations
  • Degree in Business, Science, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • At least 10 years of executive leadership, ideally in the Pet Food, Food, Flavor, Nutrition, or Ingredients business
  • Demonstrated full P&L management in a regional or global context
  • Proven success leading complex, cross‑functional, multicultural teams
  • Expertise in strategic planning, commercial growth, operational management, and transformation
  • Inspirational leadership, strong customer orientation, and a passion for innovation
  • Fluency in English required with excellent communication and negotiation skills
