Director of Community Economic Development Responsibilities
The City of Revelstoke is seeking a forward-thinking and collaborative leader to serve as its next Director of Community Economic Development. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this senior role provides strategic leadership to advance a diverse, resilient, and sustainable local economy for the City of Revelstoke and Electoral Area B of the Columbia Shuswap Regional District.
The Director leads the development and implementation of community and economic development strategies aligned with Council priorities and approved plans. This includes overseeing business retention and expansion initiatives, investment attraction, economic research and analysis, marketing and promotional programs, and key projects that support long-term community sustainability. The role works closely with the Economic Development Commission and builds strong partnerships with local organizations, businesses, regional agencies, and senior levels of government.
The Director also manages departmental planning and administration, including budgeting, work-planning, grant development, contractor oversight, performance monitoring, and regular reporting to Council and leadership teams.

SalarySalary: $131,700 – $141,100
