EPPS Program Director
Position:
Program Director for the Excellence in Policing and Public Safety Program (EPPS) in the LAW SC Law Policing Program. Full Time.
Responsibilities:
The EPPS Program Director will organize and oversee the Program’s activities, report to law school leadership, the Program’s advisory board, and funders. The Director will design a suite of educational offerings for South Carolina law enforcement agencies, aiming for national and international expansion. The Director will develop and implement evaluation processes, represent the Program to police leaders, community advocates, state legislators, and national organizations, and manage fiscal responsibility for General Assembly appropriations.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree and over 20 years’ experience as a certified law enforcement officer in South Carolina.
- Demonstrated organizational leadership, professional development, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Prior Police Chief or County Sheriff experience.
- Experience designing and delivering training curricula to sworn law enforcement.
- Law enforcement training and curricula, professional development, budgeting, strategic planning, program management.
