The Fairfield County Council on Aging (FCCOA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Director to lead our nonprofit organization serving older adults throughout Fairfield County.
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of the organization, including program operations, financial oversight, staff supervision, fundraising, grant management, community relations, and strategic leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the continued delivery of high‑quality services that support the independence and well‑being of local seniors.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Services, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of management or executive leadership experience.
- Experience in nonprofit administration, budgeting, grant management, and personnel supervision.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with aging services, human services, or community‑based programs preferred.
- Direct daily operations and organizational activities.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and funding compliance.
- Supervise and support agency staff.
- Maintain relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders.
- Lead fundraising and resource development efforts.
- Serve as the public representative and advocate for the organization.
