Anticipated Salary: $56,000-$74,000. This is an exempt position.
Time Off Plan: 25 days of PTO. Additional Time Off: MLK Day, Presidents’ Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Week of July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Wed-Fri), Winter Break (Dec. 24-Jan.

The Blended Learning Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, programming, and overall success of the learning lab and microschools in the region. This role provides leadership and supervision to the learning lab (Heron Institute Learning Lab - HILL) while ensuring a high-quality learning environment for students. The manager will oversee space utilization, program development, student engagement, and community partnerships, ensuring that the center operates efficiently and effectively supports blended learning initiatives.
The Manager also partners with The Heron Foundation to make connections in the community to facilitate programming and resources for students.

Leadership & Supervision- Supervise the Learning Lab Advisors, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Oversee day-to-day center operations, ensuring a welcoming and well-managed environment for students and staff.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for efficient center operations.
- Plan and oversee onsite programming, working closely with educators, students, and partners to create meaningful learning and social experiences.
- Support the organization of off-site student outings, ensuring safety, logistics, and educational value.
- Monitor student participation and engagement, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation in blended learning.
- Oversee the scheduling and utilization of the learning lab’s spaces, ensuring efficient use for classes, meetings, and events.
- Coordinate with Operations teams to maintain a fully functional learning environment, including technology and equipment needs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the learning lab and external stakeholders, including community partners, vendors, and educational institutions.
- Represent the learning lab in meetings, outreach events, and collaborations with local organizations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive culture within the learning lab that aligns with the organization’s mission and values.
- Monitor the learning lab’s budget in conjunction with Finance, including expense tracking, purchasing, and financial reporting.
- Oversee office management functions, ensuring smooth administrative operations.
- Maintain records, generate reports, and analyze data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree or higher
- 3+ years of experience in program management, educational administration, or a similar leadership role OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience supervising staff and leading teams in an educational or nonprofit setting.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and scheduling systems.
- Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Ability to travel frequently, up to once per week, to sites across the state
- Ability to clear required background check.
