Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician III (3rd Shift).

The hourly rate for this position is $18.94 per hour with a $1 per hour shift differential.

What you'll do:

Eaton's Commercial Products & Assemblies division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician III to join our team on 3rd shift. This position is based at our Hodges, SC location. Hourly Rate:
Starting at $18.94 and $1.00 shift differential.


Position Overview:

The Assembler III will be responsible for achieving daily production goals with focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for assembling Low Voltage Assemblies. They will execute all required tasks including, but not limited to Assembler I roles (PW2, Flex, and Lean), Assembler II roles (PW2, Flex, and Lean), identify and collect needed materials for assemblies, assembly, wire, customer service orders, PXM assembly and testing, power modules, sub-assemblies (PW2, Flex, and Lean), rework, and preparation for shipment.

They will work with a team and flex in all areas of the assembly operation as needed.

In this function you will:

You will be responsible for complex assemblies to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products, safely, in a timely manner following Standard Work.

• Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.

• Sustainment of 5S+ in area.

• Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with WSRA's, and wearing proper PPE. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to team lead, supervisor, or manager.

• Read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings.

• Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembling.

• Will be required to have or complete QEW certification

• Responsible for identifying nonconforming parts and troubleshooting errors. May be required to perform hi-pot test on assemblies.

• Use various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust or repair assemblies. Use of layout, drill, saw, punch, rivet, and paint material as required.

• Apply identification labeling on completed assemblies as required.

• Form shipping groups of final products shipped to external customers and prepare assemblies for shipment or storage, as appropriate.

• Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.

• Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks of other positions as needed including Tables operations.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

• Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

Preferred qualifications:

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

• At least 1 year of experience using hand and air tools

• Proven problem-solving skills.

• Collaborate with team members.

• Ensure assembly components meet quality standards.

• Being flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks.

• Able to work independently with minimum direction.
