Job Summary
Location:
Nichols, NY. Salary: competitive pay starting at $31.16 to $36.07 (actual salary will be determined based on skill and experience level).
Hours:
Night shift position on a 2/2/3 scheduled of two days on, two days off, then three days on. This is a 12‑hour shift. This position will troubleshoot, repair, adjust and maintain all related equipment involved in running production at a high‑speed state‑of‑the‑art metal packaging manufacturing facility.
- Operate equipment and identify areas of spoilage, taking corrective action to resolve issues.
- Work with equipment including spray equipment, neckers, flangers and other production machinery.
- Develop standard operating procedures; provide training for equipment operation and reinforce all safety procedures.
- 5+ years working experience in a manufacturing setting (high‑speed manufacturing preferred).
- Associate/technical degree preferred or related vocational/technical certification (journeyman card, technical license, etc.).
- Strong proven working experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting skills and equipment re‑build expertise.
- Experience in using controls and settings on high‑speed automated equipment.
- High competency in the use of micrometers, calipers and related equipment.
- Strong math and computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications.
- Effective and proven communication skills working in a team environment.
- Must be able to work twelve‑hour shifts, both day and evening.
