Job Description Summary GE Vernova is accelerating the path to more reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. We are looking for skilled manual machinists with Tool Maker / Tool & Die / Fixture build experience to join an exciting team designing, building, and repairing jigs and fixtures and providing shop support in many ways.
What You'll Do- Interpret drawings, sketches, models, specifications, worksheets, and related documents.
- Make standard and special jigs, fixtures, gauges, tools, assemblies, etc.
- Set up, program, and operate a variety of NC and conventional machines such as engine and precision lathes, milling machines, drills, grinders, saws, jig borer, etc.
- Apply standard tool‑room facilities such as layout tables, comparators, microscopes, measuring devices, etc.
- Extensive experience in four or more of the following categories of machines or processes: lathes, mills, operator‑controlled precision grinding, drills, heat treat or cutter grind, with the ability to hold close tolerances (±0.0002).
- Weld and fabrication experience and CAD/CAM experience are a plus.
- Base rate: $37.229–$38.491 per hour.
- Shift premium: $1.00 per hour on top of base pay when working a second or third shift.

Recruitment Testing Process- Online computer assessment from Tooling U (approximately 2½ hours). Leadership may schedule up to 7AM–6PM.
- 40‑hour practical test that includes producing two parts from provided drawings and materials. Candidate may schedule any time between 7AM–11PM to work 8hours per day.
- Successful candidates will be reviewed in a final interview stage before an offer may be made.
