Job Description Summary

Responsibilities- Align, erect, assemble, and fit components of large gas turbine units, including compressors, turbine rotors, stators, bearings, and main gas turbine unit.
- Read and interpret blueprints, material lists, planning and methods specifications, and related shop documents.
- Use manual, jib, floor cranes, hoists, ladder, scaffolding, and floor workstations to position and align rotor or unit components and accessories, and perform drilling, reaming, doweling, fitting, bolting, and other necessary tasks.
- Make necessary alignments of parts, assemblies, and accessories using standard and special mechanical, optical, and other devices.
- Apply measuring devices such as manual gauges, micrometers, calipers, and tape measures, and maintain required quality checks and records.
- Perform work on ladders, scaffolding, and in fixed open floor workstations, as well as on the gas turbine main unit.
- Use assembly stands, fixtures, hand and power tools, pneumatic and electric power wrenches, sanders, and grinders.
- Collaborate as part of a team and perform other related tasks as required; may outline the work of others to accomplish tasks as one team.
- May be required to obtain an Overhead Crane Operator License (175/200 ton capacity) for crane moves/assemblies involving turbine components.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience with large‑scale assembly of mechanical and/or electrical components, with some exposure to optical or laser alignments; or a certified technical program with 1+ year of experience.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Must pass an assembler assessment, background check, and rug screening.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Willingness to work in a tobacco‑free environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs., wear necessary PPE, climb and work at height, and stand for periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work 3rd shift (11PM–7AM).
The pay for this position is $31.663 – $32.919 per hour. This position is also eligible for a shift premium when you work off‑shift (2nd or 3rd shift), plus $1.00 USD per hour on top of base pay. The anticipated start for this position is January 2026.
