Assembly Operator – Magna Seating South Carolina

Key Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools.
- Rotate between tasks on the production line.
- Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams accurately.
- Perform quality checks and identify defective or non‑conforming parts.
- Assist in plant duties such as parts inspection, inventory, cleanup, and minor equipment maintenance.
- Report safety, quality, or production issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protection equipment at all times (e.g., gloves, glasses).
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation (5S compliance).
- Participate in continuous improvement and team‑based problem solving.
- Attend training sessions and complete required materials.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Good hand control and ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Stand for long hours, lift 25–50 lbs., and move efficiently.
- Work in a safe manner and comply with safety rules and practices.
- Effective communication with team members.
- Efficiently manage tasks to meet production deadlines.
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly‑line environment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodology.
- Ability to use ERP or production tracking systems (e.g., barcode scanners or tablets).
- Ability to read technical drawings, wire diagrams, or exploded views.
- Multilingual (especially in a diverse team setting).
- High School Diploma or GED.
