About

The Role

The Process Technician supports the processing of all material through the facility, operates heavy equipment such as Trackhoe(s), Skid Steer, Tractor trucks (non‑CDL Driver) with or without attachments, Forklifts, etc., and complies with all OSHA, SCDHEC and DOT (as applicable) requirements while maximizing production and minimizing expenses safely.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Performs all job‑related functions in a safe, honest, ethical and compliant fashion.
  • Maintains a “Safety First” approach to all tasks and knows that operating safely is the most important thing we do.
  • Coordinates production based on lab results.
  • Maintains OSHA, DHEC and DOT (if applicable) training requirements for self.
  • Has the ability to wear and properly use a variety of Levels A, B, C and D personal protective equipment including face, hand, foot and eye protection.
  • Operates heavy equipment to include Trackhoe(s), Skid Steer, Tractor trucks (non‑CDL Driver) with or without attachments, Forklift and other required equipment as needed.
  • Motivates workers and promotes a team environment.
  • Completes required paperwork including timecard, operational documents, JSA’s and safety audits and inspections.
  • Is a team player and leads by example.
  • Performs other duties and tasks assigned by the company as required.
Qualifications
  • GED/HS Diploma preferred – Reworld offers GED Works, a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
  • Demonstrates a strong mechanical ability.
  • Good driving record and valid state‑issued driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug and alcohol screens, and other required safety training.
Physical Demands
  • Requires standing, walking, carrying, stooping, crouching, sitting, grasping, climbing ladders and stairs, and reaching.
  • May require lifting, pulling and/or pushing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activity.
  • Ability to work flexible hours or weekends during emergency situations such as when the shredder is down.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold (above 90°F and below 45°F) environments for extended periods of time.
Shift Work
  • Monday‑Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (May have some Saturdays)

In addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits including medical, prescription drug, vision, and dental plans; 401(k) plan; paid parental leave; paid time off; and paid holidays.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably. The pay range for the primary location of this position is $42,700.00 – $56,800.00 USD. The final salary offered will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable).
