Fabrication, Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG
This position is responsible for custom designing, forming, cutting, sharpening, piercing, welding and/or the painting of fabricated materials for use in a final product and training/cross‑training associates in the Fabrication Area.
- Forms, cuts, and pierces metal to form fabricated assembly housing units.
- Performs operations including cutting, piercing, forming, and similar processes.
- Utilizes a wide variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment.
- Operates moderately complex to very complex fabrication machinery, using digital/electronic controls.
- Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.
- Read and understand moderately complex assembly drawings, schematics, and bill of materials.
- Ability to work independently.
- May be required to have welding certification.
- May be required to move material within the group.
- Daily 5S is a requirement.
- Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.
- Performs other duties as required and may be required to work overtime.
- Good understanding of basic shop math and measuring techniques.
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $23.00 - $25.00 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime pay and may also include premium pay or differentials, depending on location. Pay is determined by performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
